I think the disappointment is relative to the expectations. In and of itself, M&Ts is a solid sandwich (I suspect this will be one of the better scores on the tour). Even if I take into consideration my other visits, I would have to say that the sandwiches here are very good … no more and no less.

Wow, I am surprised that you didn’t like M&T’s. I normally love that Gobbler sandwich. I’ve rarely been disappointed there so I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy it. I will agree with biskuit though that Star Provisions is excellent. Are you planning on visiting New Yorker Deli on S Atlanta Rd? You should.

I’m with you… had been so hopeful that M&T would blow me away, but a trip there last month left me wondering what the raves were all about. We had two sandwiches and neither was particularly good. It made me appreciate Star Provisions all the more.
