My daughter's wedding and reception is scheduled at Canoe in March. By then (hopefully) everything will completely be back to normal. It's such a beautiful venue with terrific food and ambiance.

Canoe is one of Atlanta's real treasures. This is so tragic. I hope they are able to come back even stronger and that our community continues to support them whole heartedly. Chef carvel is one of the most talented chefs, and the wait staff is incredibly professional. The wine selection is outstanding, and the bar is fantastic. Good luck to all! I'll be there when you come back.

I used to be a server at Canoe several years ago and recall the river rising so much that it flooded both the patio and a little bit inside the restaurant. I was amazed that although the restaurant was closed for a day or two, Canoe was able to reopen rather quickly. This seems much worse, and I hope the Canoe will quickly recover from this.

Oh no!!!! and I just spoke with Exec chef Carvel Gould of Canoe.....inviting me to a celebratory dinner on Thursday in her new vegetable gardens!!!
I'm praying for you Carvel and the whole staff of Canoe. I do remember years ago....the last flood.....a photo of then Exec chef Gary Mennie walking along the area in photo above surveying the flood with a cup of Starbuck's in hand.
Oh boy!
