Scoutmob, the Atlanta-based coupon site, has just joined forces with check-in service FourSquare. This partnership means that people who use FourSquare’s mobile application (iPhone / Android / Blackberry) can now access Scoutmob’s discounts from within the 4sq app.
This isn’t the first time this has happened, as FourSquare currently offers deals from sites like Groupon, LivingSocial, and Gilt City (just to name a few). Meanwhile, this is a huge deal for ScoutMob, who offers its services in 13 cities (with seven more marked as coming soon). As FourSquare has roughly 10 million users and last I heard Scoutmob was under 1 million, this is a whole new piece of exposure for our little Atlanta engine that could.

Running with Tweezers (link), Tami Hardeman’s blog, is one of the biggest Atlanta food blogs around. Her pictures are worthy of food porn status (she’s a food stylist btw), and her writing is energetic and tantalizing. At her core, Tami is a recipe hound, so if you’re looking for some creative way to throw together some ingredients … she’s your gal.
In the past few years, Hardeman has garnered a big following both locally and nationally (case in point … she’s just shy of 2,000 followers). Today, deal site ScoutMob (link) posted a great little Q&A with Madame Camera. It’s worth the read. When you’re done … grab the current deal, which is a 50% coupon to Noon Midtown. Go … get the pasta … and see if you can tell me it’s not delicious.

Taste of Atlanta has long been known as the premier foodie festival in the Dirty South. After setting up shop at Atlantic Station the past couple of years, the festival has relocated to nearby Technology Square in Midtown for this year. The corner of 5th and Spring is already blocked off, tents and other temporary fixtures now line the street, and it looks like it’s going to be one heck of an event.
With a whopping 80+ restaurants, a handful of celebrity chefs, live music, and a whole mess of activities, I’m not about to list out all the events and goings on. However, here is the 411 on what to expect!

First Downtown Atlanta did it, then Midtown rolled the dice. Now Inman Park is getting in on the action. Starting September 21st and running through the 27th, twelve restaurants in the Inman Park neighborhood will offer up a special prix-fixe menu. By now, there’s a good chance you know the drill. If not, here’s the short of the short: three courses will run you $25 [most of the time]. I say most of the time because there are a few exceptions. A meal at Rathbun’s Steak will run you $35 while Sauced, The Albert, and Pure Taqueria will run their specials at $15.
To further add to the confusion, Sauced and Pure Taqueria, that taco chain out of Alpharetta, won’t actually be open. Apparently, Pure Taqueria won’t actually be open in time for restaurant week – so I’m not sure how that qualifies them. Similarly, neither will Sauced. However, the latter will host guests on the 25th from 6-10pm for $15 cash money. I’ll elaborate on those goings on in another post. Full details after the jump.

I’m not 100% sure if the quota for this one has been reached. Weber Gas Grills is giving away a free spatula. From their website:

I’m a little late with the news on this, so I do apologize. Between now and the 12th of March, all Godiva Chocolatier locations are serving up one free mini brownie to all visitors. The catch? You have to tell them what you would like to see dipped in chocolate. A pretty stupid requirement, but I say suck it up and go get some chocolate. It’s not valid in department stores, but I’m pretty sure all four locations sit outside of that area. Find the nearest one to you on the Godiva website.
