battle of the burgers fight

A: The Battle of the Burgers

Q: What is the meat slapping, gut busting, massive attack set to take place at John Howell Park in Virginia-Highland on Saturday, October 2nd (from 12-4p)?

To elaborate: some might say we’re in a burger renaissance.  I might say we’re in a burger infestation.  Regardless of your perspective, it isn’t a stretch to say that Atlanta’s cityscape has become a bastion of meat-eating fornication.  Spurned on by the dizzying selections our city has to offer, Embraced Atlanta is putting on a charitable contest of epic proportions … appropriately slugged as The Battle of the Burgers (web).  Read on for all the information!

The IRS Isn’t So Bad: Eat Out And Save 15% Off Your Meal During Tax Time

Posted by Foodie Buddha on April 09, 2009

Though I’ve always found the idea of “buying something on sale in order to save money” to be laughable, buying things at a discounted rate is a good thing.  Enter the “Intown [sic] Restaurant Stimulus” (betcha thought I was talking about the other IRS).  From April 19-23, and again on the 26-30th, a handful of in town Atlanta restaurants are offering up a 15% discount. What’s better, the total based on the pre-tax amount of your bill!  Boo ya!

The event is sponsored by the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, a nonprofit that has been in our city for almost a century.  The coupon and list of restaurants is available after the jump!

More Free Burgers … This Time At Ted’s Montana Grill … Too Much Work 2

Posted by Foodie Buddha on March 02, 2009

Yeah, free food is a good thing.  That said … enough with the burger giveaways.  Ted’s Montana Grill, an Atlanta based restaurant, is getting in on the lameness.  Unfortunately, there is just way too much work involved to make it worth my time.  While there are big prizes (anyone ever heard of someone winning one of these?), the trade off for Ted’s is that they are asking for a good bit of user generated content.  Proceed at your own risk :-)
